How much does an Anglican ceremony on Mallorca Cost

Donations for weddings and funerals are the same in each congregation.

The Chaplaincy is pleased to offer advise and guidence to couples in assisting them to create their celebration. Our service includes;

• Administration work in preparing for the service here on Mallorca.

• E mail / Skype contact with a trained and experienced minister, licensed by the Church of England, for consultation, advice and resources.

• Meetings in person before the service if you are visiting Mallorca prior to the day of the service.

• The production of an order of service.

• A rehearsal just before the day of your service if requested.

• Officiating at a service or ceremony on the day itself to a high professional standard.

As a Chaplaincy we can offer the following options;

How the Donations are set

The donations suggested here contributes towards the upkeep of the service that the Chaplaincy is pleased to provide for any who come to Mallorca and especially wedding couples. The level of donation is based upon the fees set by the Registrar for Births, Deaths and Marriages for England and Wales for a wedding service.

Use of our Churches

While the use of the Anglican churches in Palma or Puerto Pollenca is free, the donation for use of a Catholic Church building usually varies from €150 to €400 depending upon location and the amount requested by the local Catholic parish priest. This is paid by a couple separately and to the local Catholic Church parish office and a couple are responsible for making this arrangement.

Common Questions

Simply email weddings@anglican-mallorca.org with your initial plans and we will start the process. Alteratively telephone +34 971 737 279 to talk things through.
You would normally need a minimum of two months to make your plans with either the town hall or registry office.
You can - for UK couples see https://www.gov.uk/marriage-abroad, however, the process is long and complicated. All our wedding couples thus far, have enjoyed a legal registration of their marriage in their home country followed by a more elaborate celebration ceremony here on this beautiful island.
Yes, please talk it through with the Chaplain as early as possible in your planning.
Yes, the Roman Catholic Church offers us hospitality in many of its churches (charge varies between €150 to €400). Many couples ask if the ceremony could be performed in a hotel, private home or at a beauty spot or other location; this is usually possible.
For a traditional English wedding there is nothing like a Church Choir and Organist. We are fortunate to have the services of Wedding Singers Mallorca to provide this and more. Many of their singers are the Anglican Church Choir and they are augmented when necessary by other talented voices. Musical possibilities are endless from choir to soloists to instrumental pieces, orchestras and recorded music. Talk to Georgie Insull for more information - her website is www.weddingmusicmallorca.com
No, in the past ceremonies have ranged from just the couple being present to large gatherings of family and friends.
Although we have no formal links with any wedding organisers, please take a look at our LINKS page as we have put some helpful websites on there.
